We are
seeking on behalf of our client an experienced CONTRACTS ADVISOR (construction
industry)who is experienced in the construction industry to join our
clientâs Project Management team based in Saudi Arabia on a long-term
residential contract.
Purpose
Contract development and administration functions.
Work both
independently and part of a team to support all contract related tasks for all
projects
Expected to look at contractual issuesobjectively and resolve
disputed change orders in proactive manner and achieve appropriate resolutions.
Experience/Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Bachelor of Science in Business, Economics, Finance or Accounting.
10years relevant experience in the Cost Engineering Field preferably in the
Construction or Petrochemical industries.
Must be able to communicate fluentlyin written and oral English.
Aknowledge of Arabic desirable,
but not required.
Develop/ review differenttypes of contracts/agreements for the projects.
Administer the contracts and ensure all terms and conditions are implemented by all projects.
Develop review contracting strategy & plan for differenttypes of projects.
Conduct market analysis to determine the best type of contractfor the project and provide
alternatives.
Implement client Procurement Manualfor all contracts and consciously
monitor implementation.
Develop/review changeorder packages and ensure compliance to related guidelines
and procedures.
Develop/review negotiation strategies for change orders.
Participate in negotiation meetings for all change orders.
Ensure implementation of the supplierperformance evaluation by project teams.
Conduct/participate in counselling sessionswith low performing contractors and log
the required actions.
Provide contracting consultations to project teams to resolveany issues/ disputes.
Provide feedback to projectteams regarding contractterms and conditions to avoid occurrence of disputes or breach to the contract.
Develop/review contract amendments.
Perform contract closeoutactions upon projectcompletion.
Prepare/review contracting reportsto management.
Prepare/review different types of agreements/MOUs with external partiesand potential JVs.
Uphold work ethics and maintain high standards of professional behaviour and conduct.
