We are seeking to recruit on behalf
of our client a GROUP LEADER, CHEMICALS FINANCIAL ANALYSIS to join their
growing Chemicals business


 


Purpose


Lead and develop a diverse team of
experts to foster generation of insight through financial analysis of client’s
Chemicals’ affiliates, such as joint ventures and subsidiaries.


 


Requirements


Bachelor’s degree in Finance, or a related discipline. MBA,
master’s in finance, and/or
professional financial certification preferred (e.g., CPA, CFA, CIMA, etc.)  strongly preferred.


At least 10 years of experience in developing financial models and
conducting financial analysis for the
petrochemical industry, including at least 8 years of analytical and
operational background in the petrochemical industry with a focus on market intelligence and financial modelling.


Strong financial modelling using Microsoft Excel, or any other
modelling software


Financial statement analysis


Ratio analysis


Profitability analysis


Group and JV consolidation


Price variance analysis


Tax and royalties


Financial report development




Liabilities and accruals


Asset accounting adjustments / impairment


Capital markets


Investment analysis


CAPEX analysis


Data visualization techniques


Business presentations and publicspeaking


Understanding of business agreements.


Ability to work independently and effectively through vertical
organizational levels and with people from different departments and different nationalities.


Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and networking skills.

Responsibilities


Provide in-depth financial analyses of business performance by
leveraging a thorough understanding
of the petrochemicals industry market dynamics in terms of supply/demand balances, operating rates, and global and
regional business dynamics,


Coordinate business plan
activities for affiliates, and various reportsas per client’s financialplanning calendar.


Coach the team to create and maintain financial models for the
actual results reporting in
combination with short-term to long-term projections and prepare periodical forecasting as required.


Analyse monthly financial statements of affiliates.


Prepare management reports for commercial and business leaders


Support and advise on financial mattersfor client’s and affiliate Board submissions.


Manage adjustments and accruals in cooperation with client
corporate accounting teams


Coordinate the impairment/value loss activities, including testing.


Identify areas of performance improvement in the business of the affiliates.


Provide specialized financial adviceand support to evaluate capitalprojects.


Monitor reports on industry
profitability and margins and compare the results to client Chemicals’ business portfolio.

Provide support in business
integration for subsidiaries, joint ventures, mergers, and acquisition
