Job description


We are seeking to recruit on behalf of our client a SENIOR
INSTRUMENT & CONTROLS ENGINEER
who will be working in their ENGINEERING
SERVICES DEPARTMENT
 based in Qatar on a long term residential
contract


 


Purpose


Provide technical designand engineering servicesin Instrumentation & Control Engineering for all assigned
engineering projects. Achieving the technical quality of work in accordance
with client procedures, whilst considering quality, schedule, cost and HSE.


 


Responsibilities


Conduct Instrumentation &
Control Engineering activities and in-house site surveys for projects, from initial concept definition
phase through to; engineering studies, FEED, detailed design and commissioning


Ensure the required client
technical assurance practices, engineering standards, environmental and safety policies are incorporated and
followed, in work-scopes and whilst conducting Instrumentation & Control Engineering  activities


Review technical  deviations
and  variations to approved guidelines, codes, standards and practices


Support Engineering Department to review, update and apply client standards
and client's amendments to externalstandards


Plan and co-ordinate activities
of a team of multidiscipline engineers for providing timely deliveryof technical services to meet the project
requirements


Co-ordinate engineering designs,
develop and review multi-disciplinary work-scopes for projects and other engineering activities


Ensure that the work-scope is
comprehensive and clear.


Review and approve methodstatements developed by contracted organizations for scope compliance


Liaise with contracted organizations to resolve technicalissues.


Develop, update and monitor schedules for in-house engineering activities, contribute to external FEED/EPIC scheduling activities and effectiveproject delivery


Conduct evaluation of technicalbid packages for scope compliance


Review and evaluate the Contract Changes/ Variation to approved guidelinesand practices


Support the development of personal
technical competency and skills and
those of Co-workers. Participate in structured trainingfor Associate Qatari Engineers




 


Experience/Qualifications
& Skills:


Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation & Electrical or Electrical & Electronics
Engineering.


Chartered Engineer / Professional Engineerstatus or equivalentis preferable


10 years relevant post graduate experience, of which 6 years should be related to the Oil & Gas industry


Ability to identify and utilize relevantengineering standards and Codes relatedto Instrumentation & Control Engineering


Proven ability to manage time, cost and quality in engineering projects within a multiple projectenvironment


Good communications and presentation skills with fluencyin English
