Purpose

The role will be focused on the engineering of safety/operations safety, and will involve projects at the design phase, from a safety perspective.

You will examine the integrity of our systems and facilities, assessing safety programs and leading the development of solutions where opportunities exist for improvements.

You will understand design concepts and principles, and integrity requirements of facilities and equipment, and should be able explainthe rationale behind the recommendations made.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or Environmental Science, or in a related field.

International safety certification is recommended.

Minimum of 15 years of related safetyoperational experience, in Oil & Gas industry, diversified manufacturing plants.

Responsibilities

Advise management on loss and fire prevention policies,standards, and procedures, and recommend changes that can improve risk management programs.

Review long-range trends in loss/fire prevention engineering and advise management on a company response to these trends.

Research emerging safety technologies and conduct feasibility studies and cost analyses to identify improvedsolutions to existingsafety problems and emerging regulatory requirements.

Act as an expert process safety resource for riskidentification and mitigation during design, construction, commissioning, turn-over to operations, on-going operations, management of change and decommissioning of facilities.

Review existing company standards, procedures and instructions and recommend cost effective safety enhancements to facilities to align them with the latest international standards.

We are seeking to recruit on behalf of our client an experienced PROCESS ENGINEER (PYGAS & AROMATICS) who is specialized in PYGAS & AROMATICS to join their Project Management team (PMT) based in SAUDI ARABIA on a long-term contract. PMT is directly involved in executing and managing assigned projects safely, on schedule, within budget and to the highest standards of integrity and compliance. This will involve engineering design, procurement, and construction of assorted sizes, types, and complexity of small, medium to multi-billion-dollar mega projects.

Purpose

Ensure that engineering design, procurement, construction, and project completion is done in compliance with the project objective and contractual requirements i.e., project schedule, cost, HSE, company standards and procedures

Responsible for reviewing and studying grass root and brown field refining and petrochemical facilities.

Requirements

BSc Chemical Engineering

15+ years of experience in the refining and the petrochemical industries with a specialty in PYGAS & AROMATICS such that the incumbent is clearly recognized as an expert in this field.

5+ years of field experience including construction, pre- commissioning, commissioning, start-up, and operation.

Must have Engineering Design & Construction phase experience with a thorough knowledge of engineering practices and economic principles in the applicable International Codes, Standards and Specifications.

Dynamic attitude towards project improvements and savings

PMP Certification is desirable but not mandatory.

Flexible to work in multinational teams and mobilize to various locations including remote areas as needed.

Responsibilities

Execute capital projects accordingto the scope, schedule, and budget.

Provide the technical input and review of the design, construction, pre- commissioning, commissioning, and start-upof facilities.

Address technical issues arising in all phases of the project development related to PYGAS & AROMATICS and associated facilities.

Responsibility for project development: engineering studies, licensors selection, technical bid reviews, preliminary engineering, detail designs, materials procurement, construction, pre-commissioning, handover, commissioning, and start up.

Manage General Engineering Services (GES) design contractor activities during the development of Pre-FEED & FEED, including definition of project work scope and schedule requirements.

Development of detailed estimate leading to funding appropriation and approval.

Be familiar with international procedures of Projects Phases, Engineering Phases, Bidding procedures, Procurement Processes, Construction Requirements and up to date Best Practices.

Full understanding of contract documents (inclusive of appendices, drawings, and specifications), project execution plan, interface management, change management, construction sequencing, standards specifications, and project schedule to support project manager and/or company representative in timely completion of projects.

Review and resolve day to day contractors’ activities related to assigned project (process) work during construction and ensure HSE compliance.

Participate in developing process deliverables such as, BFDs, PFDs, P&IDs, H&MB, data sheets, C&E diagrams, HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, simulations, 3D modelling, energy optimization, start up plans, etc.

Perform change order scope definition, cost estimation, and assist the Project Manager or Company representative in change management process.

Review weekly and monthly reports on the status and progress of the contracts, including project costs and schedule.

Attend project meetings e.g., progress, stakeholders, design review,plot plan, value improvement.

Review of project schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned project progress and challengebelow par performance of the contractor.

Review, coordinate, and monitorinvoices (claimed vs actual physicalprogress checks) and contractor’s submittals.

Performs Project Reporting and implementation of company initiatives during project execution.

CONTRACTS ADVISOR -  BSc in LAW/contracts management 15+ years of specialized contracting experience in design/consultancy/Joint Ventures/construction contracts/agreements related to refining/petrochemical industries

SUPPLY CHAIN CATEGORY MANAGER (DRILLING) - BSc Eng, Business Administration, or a closely related field 10+ years of progressive field-based experience with deep and extensive knowledge of either drilling fluids category management and commodities OR drilling and completions category management and commodities. Experience working within unconventional resources/possess sound knowledge hydraulic fracking, Drilling & Completions and understanding of Drilling Fluids/coring/mud logging/associated materials/services

EXPLORATION GEOLOGIST – BSc  Geology or  related science 15-20 years of experience in conventional/unconventional exploration/Experience in mapping/evaluating Petroleum Systems/plays utilizing sound geological techniques/A well-integrated geologist, adept at working in broad, regional projects and comfortable with a more focused field-scale study is ideal.

UNCONVENTIONAL RESERVOIR GEOLOGIST – BSc  Geology or related science 10 years or more of experience/active technical roles, with at least 5 years in shale unconventional plays/Experience in building/maintaining/ evaluating large complex geological models utilizing geological modelling software is required. Working knowledge in the integration of sedimentology/depositional environments/petrophysics/geophysics/geochemistry/geomechanics/well placement.

DRILLING FOREMAN - BSc Engineering 7 years of experience working in drilling/ workover operations including adequate supervisory experience on a drilling or workover rig 13 years of relevant experience in drilling /workover operations including supervisory

PROCESS SAFETY ENGINEER (HYDROCABON FACILITY) - BSc Safety Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering or Chemical (Process) Eng. 10 years’ experience as a safety engineer within a hydrocarbon facility.  Previous experience in the refining/petrochemical business as a process safety professional is preferred.

CIVIL STRUCTURE ENGINEER BSc  Civil Engineering/ minimum of 10 years’ experience in the Oil/Gas Industry as a Civil engineer (running facilities)/Knowledge of the international standards and codes AISC, ACI and API (especially API-936) is essential.

CORROSION ENGINEER – BSc engineering/Professional Engineer (P.E.) license, NACE, and API certifications/15 years of professional experience in the field of corrosion engineering

SENIOR GAS PRODUCTION ENGINEER - Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering from a recognized and approved program/Master’s degree in petroleum engineering an advantage/ 10+ years’ experience /Proficient with simulation software applications including Prosper, Saphir, Well Cat (or equivalent) with the ability to perform nodal analysis.

SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER -  Degree Eng/15 years’ experience, including at least 6 years in your main field with an emphasis on initial engineering stages with Project Management/Professional certification by AACE, PMI, or a professional engineering board/Capable of evaluating/consulting on project problems where precedents are lacking or on problems where a high degree of specialized knowledge is required/Familiar with planning and scheduling methods such as CPM/ PERT, company accounting practices, project accountability budgeting and the expenditures and financials portions of the project.

PROCESS ENGINEER (industrial operation facility, a shale gas facility) - Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Eng/At least 10 years of experience in the industrial operation facility, a shale gas facility is preferred/Excellent knowledge of the modular skids mounted process unit/Ability to demonstrate a detailed knowledge of industry standards and procedures, such as API and ASMI codes, required to support the review of company standards, project reviews, and implementation of plant modifications to process systems.

DOWNSTREAM PROCESS ENGINEER (AROMATICS) - Bachelors’ degree in Chemical Eng or related specialization/Minimum of 15 years total refinery or petrochemical process units experience (process engineering and operations) with at least 10 years’ experience in handling Aromatics plants/Exposure to different Aromatics process licensor technologies.

DOWNSTREAM PROCESS ENGINEER (UTILITIES) - Bachelors’ degree in Chemical Eng or related specialization/Minimum of 15 years total Utilities unit experience (process engineering and operations) with at least 10 years’ experience in handling utilities/Exposure to major equipment suppliers / package units for Utilities

DOWNSTREAM PROCESS ENGINEER (Base Oil Lube) - Bachelors’ degree in Chemical Eng or related specialization/ minimum of 15 years total refinery process units experience (process engineering and operations) with at least 10 years’ experience in handling lube oil refinery/Exposure to different licensor technologies related to the lube oil process schemes, base oils grades

PROCESS OPTIMIZATION & CHANGE MANAGEMENT ORGANISATION PERFORMANCE ADVISOR - Bachelor’s degree /At least 10 years of actual experience planning and leading process improvement, change management, and/or transformation projects as either a practitioner or as an internal or external management consultant/For process improvement positions, certification in a process improvement methodology (e.g., Lean or Six Sigma)  is required. Candidates with Black Belt, Master Black Belt, and/or Lean certifications are preferred for process improvement positions and must have at least a Black Belt certification with demonstrated experience

ORGANISATION PERFORMANCE ADVISOR (Job Evaluation consultants) – Degree/At least 12 years of relevant experience in a corporate role related to Job Evaluation (can include organization structuring) preferably within oil and gas sector or a consultancy practice/Must be experienced with recognized job evaluation frameworks such as the Hay System, Towers Watson Global Grading System, the Mercer IPE system, or similar job evaluation tools.

ORGANISATION DESIGN CONSULTANT (Management Consultant) - Bachelor’s degree/At least 10 years of management consulting experience in organizational design, strategy development, and/or other management consulting disciplines within a global company or with an international management consulting firm. Lean Six Sigma or Change Management candidates must have significant general management consulting experience in other management consulting disciplines/in-depth knowledge of planning and managing complex management consulting projects in business improvement disciplines (e.g., organizational design, transformation projects, strategy development, etc.) ideally within the oil and gas industry/Demonstrated ability to use strategy, organization design, and/or process improvement management consulting methodologies, approaches, or tools.

GROUP LEADER, CHEMICALS FINANCIAL ANALYSIS - Degree in Finance, or a related discipline. MBA, master’s in finance, and/or professional financial certification preferred (e.g., CPA, CFA, CIMA, etc.)/At least 10 years of experience in developing financial models and conducting financial analysis for the petrochemical industry, including at least 8 years of analytical and operational background in the petrochemical industry with a focus on market intelligence and financial modelling/Strong financial modelling using Microsoft Excel, or any other modelling software

PETROCHEMICAL OUTLOOK SPECIALIST -  Degree in Chemical Eng/At least 15 years of experience in analyzing petrochemical industry trends/5 or more years of relevant modelling and forecasting experience within a large petrochemical consultancy or organization/Thorough understanding of the economic and business factors related to the petrochemical industry with substantial experience of applying that knowledge to forecasting of potential future trends./Sufficient understanding of petrochemical projects is required to conduct insightful economic analysis of capital investments/Solid understanding of the strength and limitations of various modelling techniques and methodologies when applied to forecasting future trends of the general petrochemical market/to specific products

SENIOR STRATEGIST - Master’s degree in Eng, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, Financial Management, or closely related specialty. Must have steady career advancement through personal study, relevant and work experience, relevant courses and seminar experience and professional contacts in the sector/At least 15 years of experience in a combination of refining, chemicals, trading and retail marketing business within an international integrated Downstream company or global energy think tank/consulting firm, of which at least 5 years must have been in strategy formulation, scenario planning, and/or strategic planning.

SENIOR CHEMICALS STRATEGIST - Master’s Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, Financial Management, or closely related specialty/At least 15 years of experience in chemicals business, with an international integrated Downstream company or global energy think tank/consulting firm,  5 years must have been in strategy formulation, scenario planning, and/or strategic planning/Proven track record of building strong relationships with think tanks/industry experts in order to remain current with key global industry developments, as well as other platforms that could impact company’s Downstream Chemicals competitive performance.

ADVOCACY POLICY & REGULATIONS SPECIALIST - BSc international/public policy, economics, environmental law, or energy related sciences/Graduate degree in related field is required. 15-20 years of relevant professional experience in applied policy analysis, with at least 5 years of experience dealing with energy policies, regulations, and corporate strategies.

STRATEGIC PERFORMANCE SPECIALIST - BSc Economics, Business Administration, Financial Management, or closely related discipline/ 10+ years’ experience with the last 5+ in a similar function within a major energy company. Supplemental experience with a global consulting firm with a focus on performance measurement/Proven ability and courage to effectively challenge conventional thinking, and influence others to do the same./Strong project management, problem solving, and change management skills

PROJECT MANAGER (AMMONIA) - BSc Eng 20+ years of experience in the project management field related to refining and petrochemical industries with a specialty in AMMONIA/7+ years of experience as a project manager of projects in design, construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, start up, and operation with values ranging from $100MM to $billion/Must have Engineering Design & Construction phase experience with a thorough knowledge of engineering practices and economic principles in the applicable International Codes, Standards and Specifications/Expert understanding of international procedures of Projects Phases, Eng Phases, Bidding procedures, Procurement Processes, Construction Requirements and up to date Best Practices.

PROJECT MANAGER (PETROCHEMICALS) -  20+ years of experience in the project management field related to refining/petrochemical industries with a specialty in PETROCHEMICALS/7+ years of experience as a project manager of projects in design, construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, start up, and operation with values ranging from $100MM to $billion/Must have Engineering Design & Construction phase experience with a thorough knowledge of engineering practices and economic principles in the applicable International Codes, Standards and Specifications/Expert understanding of international procedures of Projects Phases, Engineering Phases, Bidding procedures, Procurement Processes, Construction Requirements and up to date Best Practices.

SAFETY ENGINEER (PROJECT MANAGEMENT) - BSc engineering, safety engineering, industrial hygiene, or environmental science, or in a related field from a recognized and approved program/At least 12 years’ experience related to heavy construction safety, preferably in on/offshore oil/gas construction industry, petrochemical construction industry, or in construction project management/Demonstrated knowledge of delivering hands on health/safety/environmental training/Ability to assist with developing, implementing/coordinating comprehensive health/safety programs.
